CCA's Auteonna Gilmore Earns Division 1 Scholarship to Baylor University 

CCA is pleased to share that Auteonna Gilmore, 2014, has signed a National Letter of Intent to receive a full scholarship and continue her studies at Baylor University.

Aunna made CCA's first, second and third quarter Honor Rolls, was a member of the Lady Warriors hoops squad and was nominated to the McDonald's All-American Basketball Team.

She was named All-Met by the Washington Post was selected to participate in the ESBC Elite All-American game and the ASSIST Athlete All-American game in Richmond, Virginia.  
CCA's Kevin Goode Offered Academic Scholarship to Winston-Salem State University

CCA is pleased to share that Kevin Goode, 2014, has been accepted to Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina. 

Kevin also earned academic scholarships to Shenandoah University and Shepherd University as his Math SAT score improved over 100 points while at CCA. 

Kevin has earned Scholar of the Week honors at CCA multiple times, and was a 
member of the Warrior's undefeated football team.
CCA's Breonn Hughey Earns Division 1 Scholarship to Towson University

CCA is pleased to share that Breonn Hughey, 2014, has signed a National Letter of Intent to receive a full scholarship and continue her studies at Towson University.

Breonn, who made CCA's first, second and third quarter Honor Rolls, was a member of the Lady Warriors hoops squad and was nominated to the McDonald's All-American Basketball Team.

She was named MVP of the ASSIST Athlete All-American game, was named Honorable Mention All-Met by the Washington Post and was named MVP of the ASSIST Athletes All-American game in Richmond, Virginia. 
CCA's Markus Byrd Earns Scholarship to Global Institute of Technology in New York

CCA is pleased to share that Markus Byrd, 2014, has been awarded a scholarship to Global Institute of Technology in Manhattan, New York

Following a year at Global Tech, Markus will attend the prestigious University of Massachusetts on a full Division1 scholarship. 

Markus was a member of the Warrior's football team where he earned All County honors while anchoring CCA's defensive backfield.


CCA's Marcquise Reed Earns Division 1 Scholarship to Clemson University

CCA is pleased to share that Marcquise Reed, 2014 has signed a National Letter of Intent to receive a full scholarship and continue his studies at  Clemson University. 

Marcquise made CCA's first, second and third quarter Honor Rolls, was a member of the Warriors hoops squad, was named the CBAA Offensive Player of the Year, was selected First-Team All Conference and was named Honorable Mention All-Met.

He was selected to participate in the ESBC Elite All-American game, the ASSIST Athlete All-American game in Richmond, Virginia, the 41st Annual Capital Classic and the Crab Bowl All-Star Classic.

CCA's Najee Prince Accepted to Norfolk State University

CCA is pleased to share that Najee Prince, 2014, has earned acceptance to Norfolk State University.

Najee, who made CCA's first, second and third quarter Honor Rolls, was a member of the Lady Warriors hoops squad which finished third in the nation at the National Association of Christian Athletes National Championships. 

She was named to the County All-Star team and participated in the Annual Public vs. Private school championships. 

CCA's Malik Hall Accepted to Benedict College 

CCA is pleased to share that Malik Hall, 2014, has earned acceptance to Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. 

Founded in 1870, Benedict was recently ranked as one of the top baccalaureate colleges in the nation and was also named as one of the top 100 institutions in the nation graduating African-American scholars in by Diverse Magazine. 

Malik played football for the undefeated Warriors and has blazed a path for his younger brother Michael, who is an honors scholar in CCA's Class of 2016. 
CCA's Jamelle Christian Accepted to Delaware State and Benedictine University

CCA is pleased to share that Jamelle Christian, 2014, has been accepted to Benedictine University in Chicago, Illinois, and has earned the prestigious Benedictine Eagle Award Academic Scholarship. 

Jamelle, was a member of the Warriors boys basketball team, and made CCA's first, second and third quarter Honor Rolls with perfect 4.0 GPAs each marking period; he has elected to attend Delaware State University, where he is enrolled as a freshman in the College of Business. 

In addition to being named captain CCA's nationally-ranked hoops squad, he was selected for the Public vs. Private All Star game and was honorable mention All-Conference. 
CCA's Yemaya Johnson Earns Merit Honors Scholarship to Cheney University of Pennsylvania

CCA is pleased to share that Yemaya Johnson, 2014, has earned acceptance to Cheney State University in Pennsylvania. 

Yemaya was a member of the Lady Warriors basketball team, and made CCA's first, second and third quarter Honor Rolls.

She was selected to play in the Crab Bowl Classic All-Star game in Baltimore and has blazed a path for her brother Emmanuel, who is a member of CCA's Class of 2015.
CCA's Adel Allen Earns Full Scholarship to Northwest Florida State College

CCA is pleased to share that Adel Allen, 2014, has been accepted to Northwest Florida State College. 

Adel was a member of the Lady Warriors basketball team, and made CCA's first, second and third quarter Honor Rolls.

She was selected to play in the Crab Bowl Classic All-Star game in Baltimore and also played in the ASSIST Athlete All-American game in Richmond, Virginia.

CCA's D'Neiko Norleet Accepted to Ferrum College

CCA is pleased to share that D'Neiko Norfleet, 2014 has earned acceptance to Ferrum College in Virginia.

D'Neiko, who made CCA's first, second and third quarter Honor Rolls, was a member of CCA's undefeated football team where he played quarterback and defensive back. 

He received an academic scholarship to Ferrum and will suit up for the Panther's next fall. 
CCA's Jordan Burgess Earns Academic Scholarships to Morehouse, Memphis University & Coastal Carolina University 

​CCA is pleased to share that Jordan Burgess, 2015, has been accepted to prestigious Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Morehouse claims as long list of notable alumni including Nobel Peace Prize winner, the Reverend, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., film director Spike Lee, former NAACP Chair Julian Bond and actor Samuel Jackson. Considered as a reposit for the intellectual elite, Morehouse is VERY selective and only accepts 60% of all applicants which makes Jordan's acceptance even more remarkable and noteworthy for a small school like CCA.

In addition, Coastal Carolina has offered Jordan - a member of CCA's highly ranked basketball team - an academic scholarship based on his strong scholastic performance at CCA, where he made has made the Headmaster's Honor Roll every marking period while maintaining a 4.02 GPA. Jordan has also been accepted to Delaware State and Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland.

CCA's Jared Harrington Earns Academic Scholarships to St. John's, Tuskegee, Clark Atlanta and Others

CCA is pleased to share that Jared Harrington, 2015, has been accepted to five universities including St. John's University in New York, where he was awarded the Hugh Carey Award scholarship and a St. John's Student Success Grant. 

Jared - a member of CCA's nationally renown boys basketball team - has also earned acceptance to historic Tuskegee University in Alabama, prestigious Clark Atlanta University in Georgia, Claflin University in South Carolina and Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina in addition to Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, where he has been offered the 2015-16 Freshman Scholarship Award in recognition of his academic excellence at CCA.

CCA's Elijah Davis Accepted to Morehouse, Towson & Delaware State University

CCA is pleased to share that Elijah Davis, 2015, has been accepted to Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and Towson University in Towson, Maryland.

Elijah, who is from New York, is a member of the Warrior's nationally renown boys basketball team and has earned honor roll status since enrolling at CCA; he has also been accepted to Delaware State University, where CCA grad Jamelle Christian, 2014 is enrolled as a Business major.

CCA's Justice Young Earns Academic Scholarship to Delaware State University

CCA is pleased to share that Justice Young, 2015, has been accepted to Delaware State University and Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC where he has been awarded a $30,000 academic honors scholarship. 

A member of CCA's highly-touted football team and CCA's first-ever homecoming king, Justice has earned honor roll status since enrolling at CCA and also earned acceptance to Lynchburg College in Virginia.

CCA's Emmanuel Johnson Accepted to Delaware University

CCA is pleased to share that Emmanuel Johnson, 2015, has been accepted to Delaware University. 

Emmanuel, who is from Aberdeen, Maryland, is a member of the Warrior's nationally renown boys basketball team and earned honor roll status since enrolling at CCA. His sister, Yemaya, graduated from CCA last May and is on an academic Honor's Scholarship at Cheney State University of Pennsylvania.

CCA's Davon Julian Accepted to Morgan State University

CCA is pleased to share that Davon Julian, 2015, has been accepted to Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. 

Davon, who is from Suitland, Maryland, is a member of CCA' highly-regarded football team and he currently holds the school record for rushing yards in a season.

CCA's Reginald Robinson Awarded Academic Scholarship to Chestnut Hills College

CCA is pleased to share that Reginald Robinson, 2015 has been accepted to Chestnut Hills College in Pennsylvania.

Reginald, who quarterbacked the Warriors highly regarded football team to a 17-2 regular season record in the two years he as enrolled at CCA , earned an academic scholarship to Chestnut Hills.

CCA's Shahzeb Khan Accepted to Hofstra, Towson and Loyola Universities

CCA is pleased to share that Shahzeb Khan, 2016, has been accepted to Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.

Hofstra is a small, private university that is very selective with less than 65% of all applicants earning offers of enrollment. 

Shahzeb - a member of CCA's highly-ranked basketball team - earned an SAT score that places him alongside elite high school students across the country. Shahzeb has also made the Headmaster's Honor Roll every quarter since enrolling at CCA.

He is also considering Loyola, UMBC and Towson, where he would join CCA alums Elijah Davis, 2015 and Breonn Hughey, 2014, should he elect to enroll at Towson.

CCA's Zion Jordan Awarded $254,380 Academic Scholarship to New Jersey Institute of Technology & Lehigh University

CCA is pleased to share that Zion Jordan, 2016 has been offered a full academic scholarship to New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark University and Lehigh University, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. 

Forbes magazine cites Lehigh as the #31 ranked university in America and the #23 ranked research university in the United States; NJIT is ranked #135 in the 2017 edition of Best Colleges and Universities. 

Zion - who was in the starting lineup when CCA squared-off against DeMatha Catholic in the private-school State championship game - earned a near-perfect SAT math score and is currently taking Calculus III at the collegiate level; he has earned a perfect 4.00 GPA since enrolling at CCA.

CCA's Kris Nelson Accepted to Norfolk State University and University of Maryland Eastern Shore

​CCA is pleased to share that Kris Nelson, 2016, has been accepted to Norfolk State University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES). 

Kris - a member of CCA's highly-ranked basketball team - was also a key player for the Warrior's football team.

Kris has made the Warrior's honor roll every quarter since enrolling at CCA and is considering other top schools as his senior year winds down.

CCA's Daezell Whitmire Accepted to Bowie State University

CCA is pleased to share that Daezell Whitmire, 2016 has been accepted to Bowie State University in Bowie, MD.

Daezell, universally known around campus as Dae-Dae, is a member of CCA's state-championship-finalist boys basketball team who has earned high honor roll status since enrolling at CCA.

He will be in consideration for the Warriors coveted valedictorian designation at this year's commencement and is also considering Delaware State University and Morgan State University.

CCA's David Atkinson Accepted To Johnson and Wales (Miami), University of Maryland Eastern Shore & LSU

CCA is pleased to share that David Atkinson, 2016, has been accepted to the Criminal Justice program at Johnson and Wales University in Miami, Florida. 

David played for the Warriors undefeated football team in 2013 and has earned honor roll status since being enrolled at CCA.

David intends to major in Political Science and intends to be an attorney, followed by a career in politics. 

He has also earned acceptance at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and wait-list acceptance at Louisiana State University.

Over 600 Attend CCA's Commencement at University of Maryland's X-Finity Center
​CCA is pleased to share that for the third straight year, the Warriors have achieved a 100% college acceptance rate.

We were also pleasantly surprised that over 600 guests attended our commencement which featured just seventeen Class of 2016 graduates!

The ceremony, which was hosted at the University of Maryland's X-Finity Center Pavilion, was highlighted by a rousing, inspirational keynote address from the Rev. Dr. Beryl M. Whipple of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, Inc. in Baltimore, Maryland.  

​Hats off to the Warrior's Class of 2016 which has continued CCA's tradition of 100% college acceptance while earning scholarships to colleges and universities across the country.

CCA's Victoria Pelt Accepted to Hampton University 

CCA is pleased to share that Victoria Pelt, 2016 has been accepted to Hampton University.  

Victoria is considered as a leader amongst leaders at CCA, having volunteered to work at the Joseph Gilmore, Sr. Adult Daycare Facility, while mentoring and tutoring Warrior underclassmen.  

Victoria has earned honor roll status since enrolling at CCA two years ago and was a member of CCA's first-ever volleyball team.

Warrior SAT Scores Continue Upward Swing

With a new perfect score of 1600 as the standard, Capitol Christian Academy is pleased to share that for the third straight year, CCA's Mock SAT and Fall SAT Boot Camp have yielded positive results, with all seniors achieving increased scores.

Two scholars, in particular, stood out as they scored over 1250 out of a possible 1600 (perfect score).

Across the board, the Warriors outpaced the national average by over 100 points per student who took the October test.
